We are collaborating with several groups working in fish reproduction. Our work consists in analysing the sperm subpopulations from CASA databases, which we have carried out in samples from European eel (Anguilla anguilla) and Senegal sole (Solea senegalensis).
We have also adapted flow cytometry protocols to several species, such as gilt-head bream (Sparus aurata), European eel and the oceanic squid Illex coindetii. Protocols include viability, mitochondrial status and intracellular pH and ion concentration.
