A set of interdisciplinary lines carried out together with Dr. González-Montaña (Dep. of Veterinary Medical Sciences) and other groups in Spain and abroad. These lines are focused on evaluating the presence of heavy metals milk from ruminants in several areas of the Iberian Peninsula. We are interested in the presence of heavy metals as contaminants (e.g., animals feeding near mining or industrialized areas). We are especially interested in using cattle and sheep farms as biomarkers for pollution assessment in the grazing areas.
