Dr. Felipe Martínez Pastor achieved a B. Sc. and M. Sc. in the University of León. He carried out his Ph. D. research in the Cell Biology Department of ULE, on the collection, characteristics and freezing of wild ruminant epididymal spermatozoa. After obtaining his Ph. D. title in 2004, he held a post-doctoral position at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He achieved a Ramón y Cajal fellowship in 2009 and he currently is a researcher at the University of León.
Estela Fernández Alegre
Estela is a Ph.D. Candidate pursuing to understand the role of melatonin and its receptors in the spermatozoa of several species. She attained a Masters in Biology of Reproduction.
Leticia Ordás, M. Sc., BVSc
Leticia Ordás was a scientific collaborator in the INDEGSAL. She is microbiologist quality control manager at Gadea Biopharma.
María Mata Campuzano obtained a B. Sc. and M. Sc. at the University of León.
Alba is a Ph.D. Candidate at University of Mar del Plata, Argentina. She carried out a stay at Reprobio’s lab in 2015 to investigate the effect of seminal plasma proteins on ram spermatozoa.
Isabel carried out her M. Sc. in the group, studying the presence of aneuploid spermatozoa in human and pig.
Natalia carried out her M. Sc. in the group, studying human sperm chromatin structure.
Teresa A. Balmori Roiz
She is a veterinary student from the University of León. she is working in her final degree work with Dr. J.C Fernandez Dominguez-Tejerina and it’s being supervised by Dr. Felipe Martinez Pastor in INDEGSAL. This final degree work is about melatonin receptors in bovine spermatozoa. Helped by Estela Fernandez, she is working in the inmunofluorescence detection of these receptors in spermatozoa.
